BrailleInk.'s Book Format
Our books are published in a new, unique format that preserves the originals' print and illustration in the top portion of the page and adds braille in the bottom portion. In addition, directly above each braille cell is the corresponding print character(s).

Thus, braille readers' hands don't cover anything that sighted readers are trying to see, and it's easy for anyone (e.g. parents, teachers, siblings) to tell what the braille says.

In addition, there is a printed braille glossary in the back of each book that presents the alphabet, numbers and punctuation. The glossary in books with contracted braille also presents the contractions that appear in that book and very basic rules of their usage for sighted readers.

Our latest printing of The Dot features a new binding that we like and plan to continue using: hardcover with board interior pages. (It's not yet reflected in the picture below.) The braille is embossed directly on the sturdy print pages. Note that Guess How Much I Love You has a board book binding that we used for our first printings. When we reprint this title, it'll have the hardcover binding as well.
